About 10 miles away, you will find 'Little Switzerland'; with the sound of redstarts, buzzards and skylarks for walkers, cyclists and riders to enjoy. Discover the romantic beauty of Caer Caradoc, the Long Mynd and the Stiperstones. The hills of South Shropshire are one of the few remaining rural idylls and a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The vast Mortimer Forest folds around Ludlow, covering much of the surrounding area. Ludlow Castle (2 miles / 3.2 km): Perched above the River Teme the castle is a regular setting for events, markets, craft and food fairs, Shakespearean plays and concerts. Ludlow Racecourse: It is said that 14th century soldiers raced their horses at this National Hunt course approximately 5 miles away.
